New Pastor

Effective Wednesday, June 11 Fr. Pat will be assigned to Sacred Heart in Granville and St. Patrick’s in Hennepin.  Fr. Bruce Lopez, currently pastor of St. Patrick’s in Havanna and Immaculate Conception in Manito, will be coming as our new pastor.  Please continue to pray for both of our pastors as they take on their new ministries, and that the Lord will guide them in discerning God’s will for the parishes they serve!


Youth Group 2008 Mission Trip

Projects and work needed done for parishioners around Monticello during the week of JUNE 8-13, 2008.

 

Sign-up sheets are available for the following:

1.        Parishioners needing projects or work done.

2.        Youth:  Current 8th grade-college aged

3.        Adult Skilled Labor

4.        Food Organization & Preparation

 

Volunteers will be eating and staying overnight at St. Philomena during that week.  Please contact Chuck Foran, 841-0803 or cftf13@aol.com, for more information.

Health Fair

HEALTH FAIR

Friday, May 16

2:00-6:00 P.M.

St. Philomena Church Hall

Sponsored by St. Philomena with the assistance of the Piatt County Health Department.

 

Information on women’s health, heart disease, stroke prevention, diabetes, mammogram, colonoscopy, and bone density.

 

Faith In Action will be represented distributing their information on available services.  A dietician on staff at Kirby hospital will be present to answer any of your dietetic questions.  Kirby Ambulance personnel will be on hand with information on their “Vial-of Life” program and other ambulance services.  Nurses from our parish will assist with information and questions.  Blood pressure and blood sugar readings will be taken.


St. Michael Parish Family Celebration

The second annual St. Michael Parish Family Celebration will be held on Sunday, May 18 at St. Michael’s Hall from 4:00-6:00 p.m.  Food and drinks will be provided.  Bring the entire family for games, prizes and loads of fun!

Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA)

 The theme of this year’s Annual Diocesan Appeal is “In Gratitude as One Church”.  Each family has received a letter with a pledge card and a self-addressed envelope, which can be returned either by mail, in the collection basket or dropped by the parish office.
